I chose to do an infographic that included a timeline of events, video links to show the true destruction of the Hurricane, and many different small pictures to highlight what the student would be looking at. The pictures that I chose to use steamed from what each point of the timeline would be hitting on. This was an effective tool because when students think back about the aid needed, they may associate the first aid photo on the timeline and second page. This goes for all other visuals that I chose to use.                                                                                   Inquiry Blog Post #3 Introduction: For this blog post I will be analyzing texts on Hurricane Katrina, which I researched briefly in my earlier blog posts. In my analysis of this topic I will look at six to eight different sources, as well as a deep dive on text complexity for three of the sources. My hypothetical audience will be a high school classroom at Vincent High School in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Where I am, Where I Want to Go!

 I have decided for my inquiry blogs topic I will be looking at Hurricane Katrina . As a secondary social studies education major it is important to look at the past of the United States. This can range from the 1700's to as early as an event that happen yesterday. Hurricane Katrina is a great topic to discuss with High School students because some students may have friends, family, or peers that have memories of Katrina or it repercussions.    What I know already, is that Hurricane Katrina was one of the most devastating hurricane's to ever make it to mainland United States. Thousands and thousands of people were killed or injured in the hurricane. Many more than that were displaced from their homes, and countless cities were destroyed or heavily damaged from the storm.  What I am wondering is exactly how long did it take to fully restore these cities?  Welcome everyone! My name is Zack Fountain and I am a social studies secondary education major with emphasis on history, political science, and geography. I am currently doing my student teaching at Vincent High School through MPS. My professional goals include getting a high school teaching job in southeastern Wisconsin upon graduation this spring. I coach three sports at West Bend East High in West Bend. These sports are football, hockey, and baseball. I hope to coach at a high school level or above for many years to come. I enjoy getting to know my students and take pride in relating to them in a classroom and personal setting. I look forward to getting to know everyone more throughout the semester!
